7/8 Playoff Game

7/8 Black Game

The 7/8 Black Team game will be playing Lyndon at the Barre City Elementary field at 10:00am.  Everyone come and cheer on our home team for our first playoff game!

 

The 7/8 team will continue to practice Monday through Friday throughout the playoffs.  They will begin at 5:15 and end at dark (usually about 6:30). Please try to pick up your players as close to the end of practice as possible so that the coaches can go home.

 

RAFFLE TICKETS

As a reminder, each player is required to sell at least 20 tickets.  Our program could really use the funds from this fund raiser. If you have not yet, please return your ticket stubs and money with your uniforms.

 

FLAG & 7/8 Blue ONLY

Due to the snow (yes, I said snow) the equipment return will be this Thursday night in the cafeteria of the Barre City School.

 

In order to receive your $25 deposit your equipment must be returned to us by Friday, October 16 and returned clean. If you have a scheduling conflict please contact MaryEllen Copping at mellonmobile@yahoo.com or 479-5056.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We REALLY need your help for our playoff game this weekend!  October 17th is our first playoff game and it is at home (Barre City Elementary). The website has the sign-up sheet for the game. 

 

Please help out the 7th/8th grade player’s parents.  They would like to watch their children play their game so we need other parents to step up and help out.

BANQUET & SILENT AUCTION

The end of year banquet will be held Tuesday, November 3 at the Canadian Club. Dinner prices will be $10/adults and $5/children.  You may buy tickets at the storage shed during practices any weeknight in the next two weeks. For more information you may email Tanya McCauley at tmac@myfairpoint.net.

 

Our 5th Annual Silent Auction will be held at our banquet. Bring some cash and have some fun!  This fundraiser is fun for all - the players love it. Kerri Lamb is the coordinator for this. Please call her at 839-8692, if you or your employer be willing to donate an item for the auction. Also, please remember to bring a dessert to share!

 

We will have social time beginning at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30. We will be serving chicken and pasta with a salad.  If you have allergies to these items please let the person know when you purchase the ticket.  We can have an alternative meal for you. 

 

Dinner will be followed by the awards ceremony where ALL players will receive trophies. If a player will not be attending please make arrangements with their coach to receive their award(s) following the banquet.

 

Tickets will be available soon at the storage shed. We will be asking parents to bring desserts to the dinner for our dessert table… get your cookbooks out!  This can be fun!

ELECTIONS – November 5

Each year we elect the head coaches for flag, 5/6 and 7/8. The election will take place at the November board meeting.

 

Our board members have a two year term.  This year the president and the secretary positions are up for election. 

 

Anyone wishing to be considered for any of these positions should let Kerri know as soon as possible.

 

Any parent wishing to vote on these positions may attend the November 5th board meeting and vote.  The meeting will take place at the Barre Town Elementary library at 7:00pm. We try to have these meetings later in the evening so that it won’t interfere with involvement with other sports your child may be participating in. If you have comments regarding current positions on the board or coaches please submit them for consideration in the process.
