GAMES
5/6
Black Game
The
5/6 Black Team game will be held at the South Burlington High School Field
(directions on the back). Please meet at
the Berlin Park and Ride at 6:30am (insert deep sigh here) or have the players
at the field by 7:30am for the 8:00am game.
5/6
Blue BYE Week
The
5/6 Blue Team does not have a game this week. We were scheduled to play South
Burlington but they will now only agree to a “5th quarter” which we do not
play. We do not want to ask 20 players and families to drive an hour each way
to play a 12 minute quarter.
7/8
Black Game
The
7/8 Black Team game will be held at the South Burlington High School Field
(directions on the back). Please meet at
the Berlin Park and Ride at 8:00am or have the players at the field by 9:00am
for the 10:00am game.
7/8
Blue Game
The
7/8 Blue Team game will be held at the Chittenden South field (directions on
the back). Please meet at the Berlin
Park and Ride at 11:30am or have the players at the field by 12:30pm for the 1:30pm
game.
Flag
Game
The
flag team game will be held at the South Burlington High School grass
field. Please see the directions on the
back specifically for flag. Please meet at the Berlin Park and Ride at 12:30pm
or have the players at the field by 1:30pm for the 2:00pm game.
PICK-UP TIME
PLEASE
pick up your players AT DARK. Practice
ends at dark and that is getting earlier and earlier and earlier as the season
grows forward.

Please
post these phone numbers on your refrigerators for any questions you may have. However,
your players should still call THEIR HEAD COACH if they will not be able to
attend a practice or game. The
coach’s phone numbers are at the bottom of every newsletter and on the homepage
of the website.
PLEASE
contact your parent rep with ANY concerns.
We can not fix issues that we do not know about!
RAFFLE TICKETS
PLEASE --- PLEASE --- PLEASE
Return
your raffle tickets ASAP. Please turn your tickets in to Teresa Beaudin at the
beginning of practices. As a reminder, each player is required to sell at
least 20 tickets. Our program could
really use the funds from this fund raiser. They are due by October 10!
RETURN BOTTLES
As
a fund raiser for the 5/6 Maine tournament trip we would like to ask all
players/families to bring their return bottles to practices. We will collect them at the shed. If the 5/6
Maine trip is cancelled the money will go into the BYSA Football account.
DEDICATION DULLING
Football
is a team sport and it is not fair to the dedicated players that attend all of
the practices and games. All of the
players need their teammates to play well.
The
player dedication seems to be dulling with the cold wet weather. However, this
is the time your team needs you the MOST!
Many teams have had a lot of absentee players at practices.
BANQUET & SILENT AUCTION
The
end of year banquet will be held November 3 at the Canadian Club. Dinner prices
will be $10/adults and $5/children.
Our
5th Annual Silent Auction will be held at our banquet. Bring some cash and have
some fun! This fundraiser is fun for all
- the players love it. Teresa Beaudin is the coordinator for this. Please call
her at 476-7701, if you or your employer would like to donate an item for the
auction. Also, please remember to bring a dessert to share!
We
will have social time beginning at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30. We will be serving
chicken and pasta with a salad. If you
have allergies to these items please let the person know when you purchase the
ticket. We can have an alternative meal
for you.
Dinner
will be followed by the awards ceremony where all players will receive
trophies. If a player will not be attending please make arrangements with their
coach to receive their award(s) following the banquet.
Tickets
will be available soon at the storage shed. We will be asking parents to bring
desserts to the dinner for our dessert table…
get your cookbooks out! This can be fun!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We
REALLY need your help for our final home game next weekend! October 10th is our final home game (not this
weekend, next weekend). The website has the sign-up sheet for the
games. This is our final game at
Spaulding this year and there will be 4 games so we will need lots of
volunteers.
Both 5/6 and 7/8 teams will be playing.
PLEASE sign up for a slot! We have many volunteers… but not enough. The same people tend to help each time and it
would be nice to give them a break and let them enjoy the day too.
