Schedules
THE SCHEDULE FOR THIS
WEEK IS DIFFERENT THAN PUBLISHED PREVIOUSLY! We have just been notified (today) by
Colchester that due to issues with officials the game times have been changed.
There is nothing we could do about it. The times are set by the hosting team.
A current schedule for all levels of our
program is available on the website. The schedules can change. We will always
give you the current week and next week’s schedules in the weekly newsletter.
PLEASE have your player at the field one hour

Playing Time
All
players at all levels are guaranteed at least 6 plays. Each team will track to be
sure that each player meets the minimum UNLESS the player has not attended
practice or is under punishment from the coach. After the 6 play minimum
relative playing time will depend upon the attitude and performance of the
player in both practice and game situations.
If a player does not get his 6 plays s/he will start the next game and
will play at least 12 plays in the second game.
COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
Under no
circumstances should players view, or overhear adults quarreling over BYSA
Youth Football issues.
The following is the complaint process.
1.
PARENT REPRESENTATIVE: Report concern to
their parent representative for grade level.
a.
The
Parent Representative will be presented to the parents at each parent meeting and
their contact information will be in each newsletter. The Parent
Representatives are the contact between the parents and the coaches,
coordinators, board, etc.
b.
The
Parent Representatives will be deter-mined by the head coach and may not be the
head coach’s spouse.
2.
HEAD COACH: If satisfaction is
not reached, the parent may then speak with the head coach (OFF OF THE FIELD
ONLY)
3.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
If satisfaction is not reached, the parent
may then speak with the Board of Directors
4.
BYSA BOARD OF
DIRECTORS:
If satisfactions is not reached, the parent
may then speak with the BYSA Board of Directors.
ZERO TOLERANCE RULE
At
no time may parents or coaches act inappropriately at games or practices. Upon the first occurrence a warning will be
given by a board member. Upon the second
occurrence the offender must leave the field until the game or practice is
over. If this occurs again within the
season, the board may vote not to allow the offender to return to the field for
a period of time.
Absentees
All
players who will be absent from a practice or game need to call their coaches
and let them know. The phone numbers are
at the bottom of each newsletter and on the homepage of the website. Please do NOT send emails or call Kerri or others regarding absentees in case the
emails are not read prior to the practice or game. It is the player’s
responsibility to contact their coach.
Attendance at
practices are extremely important in football.
Players can get hurt or get others hurt if they do not know what they
are doing on game day.
Mom’s (Dad’s) Tip
We
had a dad submit a tip that everyone may find useful. If your player is having
a hard time with mosquitoes on the field during practice have him put a dryer
sheet in his helmet. Rumor has it that’ll keep the bugs away. If you would like
to submit a tip please contact Kerri.
Asthma Inhalers
Many
children have asthma. If you would like
an inhaler on the field with your child, please place his name on the inhaler
and give it to his coach. We can keep it
in the storage shed so that it is available to him or he can take it home each
night. Please be sure the coach knows
what you would like us to do.
