Home Games This Week
All games will be played at Barre City Elementary School this week.
8:00am – 5/6 vs. Lyndon
9:30am – 7/8 Varsity vs. Lyndon
Noon – BOTH flag teams vs. Colchester
2:00 – 7/8 JV vs. Colchester
All players 5/6 and 7/8 players need to be at the field 1 hour before the games to warm up. Flag needs to arrive ½ hour before games begin.
Volunteers
Dee will be posting a list of the volunteers and what will be needed on the shed. We DO NOT expect parents to volunteer during their child’s game. Please volunteer the game before or the game after.
Concessions
Even if you are not volunteering please donate a food item to the concessions. Anything that is prepackaged for sale would be helpful. Some examples are: brownies, cookies, yogurt parfaits, fruit, nut mixes, granola mixes, ect.
Accident
Many of you may have heard we had an accident in the parking lot this week. A player was hit by a car. Due to this incident we have decided to implement a new plan for drop off and pick up of players. There are a lot of kids running around the parking lot.
We do not want any players in the parking lot. Please pull along the bank and drop off your players. However, pull ALL OF THE WAY to the end. Do not come around the corner and stop. You can pick them up in the same place. No cleat should touch pavement!
By the way, the player received a slight concussion but he is going to be OK.
Next Week
Next week, September 10, the 5/6 and 7/8 will be traveling to Newport for night games. Flag will be playing home. There will be no concessions for the flag game. It would take longer to set up and tear down than it would to run it.
Coach’s Contacts
If your child will not be attending a practice or a game they must contact their coach to let him know. This is more important in this sport than others. The coach’s phone numbers are on the website and will appear at the bottom of each newsletter. Below you will find the contact numbers for the coaches.

COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
Under no circumstances should players view, or overhear adults quarreling over BYSA Youth Football issues. The following is the complaint process. Please always follow these steps. If a step is skipped the complaint will not be heard.
1. PARENT REPRESENTATIVE: Report concern to their parent representative for grade level.
a. The Parent Representative will be presented to the parents at each parent meeting and their contact information will be in each newsletter. The Parent Representatives are the contact between the parents and the coaches, coordinators, board, etc.
b. The Parent Representatives will be determined by the head coach and may not be the head coach’s spouse.
c. The head coach will select the parent representative in the 2nd or 3rd week of practice.
2. HEAD COACH: If satisfaction is not reached, the parent may then speak with the head coach (OFF OF THE FIELD ONLY)
3. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
If satisfaction is not reached, the parent may then speak with the Board of Directors
4. BYSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
If satisfaction is not met, the parent may then speak with the BYSA Board of Directors.
