Flag Games This Week

The flag teams will be playing in a jamboree in Essex this week. Below you will find the schedule:

A Team

12:05-12:50	vs Essex A1	@ Field 2

1:00-1:45	vs Chittenden East B	@ Field 1

Essex Driving Directions

· Merge onto I-89 N toward Montpelier/Burlington (28 miles)

· Take the US-2 exit, EXIT 11, toward VT-117/Richmond/Williston. (.3 miles)

· Turn Right onto W Main St/US-2/Theodore Roosevelt Hwy.

· Turn Slight Right onto River Rd/VT-117. Continue to follow VT-117. (7.2 miles)

· River Road turns into Maple Street. Park on the left, parking is on the right at Albert D. Lawton Middle School

5th to 8th Grade Games This Week

This week the 5^th thru 8^th graders will be playing at our home field against the St. Albans Steelers.

Please volunteer for the games and please bring a contribution for the concession stand. We would suggest a case of water, Gatorade or Coke products.

Here are the game times:

8:00am – 5/6 vs St. Albans Steelers

9:30am – 7/8Varsity vs St. Albans Steelers

Noon – 7/8JV vs St. Albans Steelers

Next Week

Next week our varsity teams will be playing the new program that is just entering the Northern Vermont Youth Football League, Bradford and the JV team will be playing Chittenden South.

The flag programs will be playing in two different locations. The A team will go to Chittenden South followed by the B team game in Essex.

PICTURES

7^th and 8^th graders!!!! PLEASE wear your game jerseys to practice on Friday so that we can take a group picture of you (weather permitting). Bring a practice jersey to change into following the picture.

BYSA Football Board of Directors

This is really important! If you are willing to volunteer on the board PLEASE contact Kerri.

We will have some openings on the board for next year and we would love to mentor people so there is a smooth transition. If anyone is interested in the presidency now is the time to begin mentoring. If anyone is interested in getting onto the Board of Directors PLEASE contact Kerri Lamb at 518-250-8736. We NEED a new president next year! Kerri is stepping down.

Watch Game Film.com

Our 5^th thru 8^th grade teams have game film posted on www.watchgamefilm.com. Each player needs to submit their name and email address to barrefootball@usa.com and a userID and password will be sent to them. You can share this information with long distance relatives to view your games and use them as a learning tool to see how you are playing. Some of the coaches place comments and information in the film to help the players.

Dogs and Smoking

PLEASE DO NOT bring your dog to practices and games (home or away). Dogs get into fights (even very nice dogs) and/or get irritated and bite little kids. They also leave packages that wouldn’t be very nice to be tackled into.

Also, if you are smoking outside, please stand away from others. We have received complaints from children with asthma or other issues that can’t be around smoking.

Safety Reminder

Please drop off players at the bank and pick them up at the bank. We don’t want players running around the parking lot.
